Young AmeriTowne Sign Up
We will be going to Young AmeriTowne on March 11th from 9:30-1:30. Buses will be utilized for this field trip, so you will be dropping your student off to school regularly in a regular school uniform. The only thing different is they cannot have hot lunch, they will need a sack lunch that is completely disposable and nut free! Please sign up your kiddo on the school store! Economics Unit Mock Interviews – PLEASE Sign up! 😊
We are starting our economics unit! One thing I love about the economics unit is it really is teaching kiddos real life skills that are necessary to know when older! On February 26th we will be going to Young AmeriTowne (sign up is up above, but more information to come). There they will all have jobs with responsibilities and salaries! The money they earn from their jobs they will get to spend around the town IF they have time on their breaks with dealing with all their responsibilities! It is a great day to practice real world situations.
In order to make this more life-like the students are choosing their top jobs, putting together resumes, and interviewing for them! This is where I need your help! I would LOVE to have parents volunteer and come in and conduct real-life interviews. I will provide you with the schedule of students to interview and the questions to ask. You are evaluating based off professionalism, preparedness, and their answers. Ultimately you will choose who gets what jobs based off the interviews! I want this to be simulated like real-life as much as possible, so think nice interview attire as well.
