The 2024-2025 Elected Board Members
Alison Berlau - President
This is Alison's third year on the PTO. Previously she handled the PTO's marketing and communications, and is now taking over the role of president. She has two daughter at AA - Evie is in 4th grade and Ana is a 2nd grader. For her day job, she works as a marketing developer for Naked Wines. She went to CU Boulder and is really excited for CU football this year - GO BUFFS!

Laura Young - Teacher Appreciation
This is Laura's third year on the PTO. This school year, Laura will be focusing on Teacher Appreciation lunches and week. Laura has a 5th grade daughter Amelia and 3rd grade son Owen at American Academy. Laura is a CPA and owns her own consulting business. When not at a youth sporting event, Laura can be found watching Ohio State Football or out walking her dog Bella.

Andrea Yerkes - Social Events
Andrea was born and raised in Ohio where she attended THE Ohio State University studying Strategic Communications. Andrea’s husband Geoff was active duty in the Army which brought them to CO. They have been in CO since 2013 but in Parker since 2019 where they are raising their two AA kiddos- Lincoln (1st grade) and London (KP). This is Andrea’s second year on the PTO serving as the social chair and she’s excited to bring a lot of fan favorite events back, as well as incorporate some new ones! During the day, Andrea works as a Talent Acquisition Manager for a large Aerospace and Defense contractor. And if she gets any free time, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, reading, crafts and baking!

Katelyn Abro - Treasurer
Katelyn was born and raised in Massachusetts and received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Virginia Tech. She moved to Colorado 7 years ago with her husband, Corey. This is her first year on the PTO and first year at American Academy as well! Katelyn has two sons at AA - Luca is in kindergarten and Cameron is in 2nd grade. Katelyn works in venture capital fund administration during the day and is excited to get to know the AA community!

Trista Oakley - Assistant Treasurer
Trista is excited to be joining the PTO this year and is looking forward to getting more involved and helping support the school as much as possible to achieve our goals. She has two kids currently at AAMB, Isabelle who is starting 3rd grade and Zackary who is starting 1st. This is her second year here at AAMB and looks forward to her youngest, Brealyn who is two, also attending in the years to come. In her free time when she isn't working her full-time job, she enjoys getting outside, working out, reading, traveling and all things family related!

Trista is excited to be joining the PTO this year and is looking forward to getting more involved and helping support the school as much as possible to achieve our goals. Jessica has been in Parker for over 10 years and has two boys at American Academy in 2nd and 4th grade who have been at the school since Kindie-Prep. This is Jessica’s first year on the PTO supporting our fundraising initiatives but is no stranger to our school. Her day job consists of planning corporate meetings and incentive trips around the world for numerous corporate companies. In her free time, you can find her at basketball or flag football games but when she has a few minutes to herself she enjoys going to the gym, relaxing at a spa, or going out for dinner to try a new restaurant.

Jenna grew up in Buena Vista, CO, and holds a business degree from Colorado State University. She keeps busy working in the insurance industry and chasing after her three kids. This is her first year on the PTO and her third year as a parent at American Academy, where she has actively volunteered and served as a room mom. Jenna is passionate about contributing to the school community and is excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the PTO. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting and spending time outdoors.

This is her first year on the PTO board and when she isn't volunteering for the school, she is studying for her MBA in Marketing Data Analytics at Colorado State University, or running her own business as an event planner in the medical and software fields. When she has free time, she is exploring new playgrounds with her kids, running bases on a softball field, lifting weights, trying new cuisines, or traveling internationally.

Amy Delphia - Secretary
Amy is a Colorado native, born and raised in Highlands Ranch. She went to Colorado State University, where she met her husband. During the day, Amy is the Director of Training and Development for a Philadelphia based marketing agency. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, being active, and spending time with her family.
