With elections right around the corner, we want to take a moment to remind our community of a few important guidelines that help us maintain a safe, respectful, and neutral learning environment for our students.
First, American Academy does not take a position on any election or candidate. In line with this, political campaigning is not permitted on school property, whether by candidates, volunteers, staff or community members. Activities such as distributing flyers or holding signs must take place off campus, and they may not disrupt school operations, traffic flow, or carpool safety. If you observe any campaigning on school property or any activity near our campuses that poses a safety risk or distraction, please notify the front office so we can address it.
We also ask that our official school Facebook page remain free of political posts or comments. Our goal is to keep it welcoming and inclusive for all families, and focused solely on sharing school-related information.
At the same time, we want to celebrate the importance of civic engagement. At American Academy, we greatly value the role of our parents and families in strengthening our broader community. We encourage everyone to research the issues and candidates—whether school board, local ballot measures or state issues—and to make your voice heard where it matters most: at the ballot box.

Thank you for helping us model for our students what it looks like to participate fully in our democracy while ensuring our campuses remain safe, neutral spaces for learning and community.
