Hello Middle School Families,

Sharing a few timely updates about Valentine’s activities this week, and a request for support with the Spring Fundraiser. Read on!

Candy Grams: On Sale for Middle School THIS WEEK

The Student Council is sponsoring Valentine’s Candy Grams for Middle School this month! Candy Grams are a program where students can purchase candy and a message for other students at school. Candy Grams sales will take place during Carpool and Lunch today, February 4th, and Friday, February 6th. Candy Grams are $3 for a rose and a box of candy, and $5 for three roses and a box of candy. Cash only is accepted, so please send your student in with cash if they will participate. Candy Grams will be passed out during the school day on February 12.

Please note that in Middle School, students no longer formally exchange Valentine’s within classes as they did in Elementary school. So this is a fun way to engage in Valentine’s cheer if your student wishes. All proceeds support the Student Council and their initiatives for Middle School. 

PTO Spring Fundraiser: Action Requested

We are excited to announce our upcoming PTO Silent Auction, which will go live after spring break on Monday March 23! The funds raised from this event will go directly to supporting our school’s programs and activities including:

• Technology upgrades – purchasing new computers and repairing aging equipment

• A new outdoor basketball court for student recreation

• Updated school signage

• Individual classroom and teacher expenses

• Continued support for STEAM programs across all grade levels (Pre-K through 8th)

To make this event a success, we are reaching out to you, our wonderful school community, for donations. We are looking for items with a value between $25 and $100 to be featured in the auction. Ideally, we would love for donations to be services or certificates that would appeal to our families. Some ideas include:

• Gift certificates for local restaurants or stores

• Tickets to events or entertainment venues

• Tickets to a sporting event (broncos, avalanche, rockies, mammoth, etc.)

• Haircuts, massages, or spa services

• Photography sessions

• Music lessons, tutoring, or fitness training

• Event planning or babysitting services

• Car wash or Oil Changes

Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference in helping us raise funds to support our school’s mission.

If you would like to donate an item or service, please reach out to me by March 6th.

The seasonal Hallway decoration initiative, which began last academic year, has been a wonderful way to bring joy to our school community. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the families who have contributed decorations or joined us in decorating. The feedback from students and teachers has been incredible—they truly enjoy the warmth and cheer the decorations bring to the hallway.

We’re proud to reuse as many decorations as possible, so your generous donations from last year and this year continue to make a lasting impact, helping us keep this tradition alive year after year.
